Description
The skeg (fin) is used for straight-running and thus to increase the paddle efficiency.
Due to the design, packrafts tend to turn in when paddling. This occurs especially when there is too little weight on the bow. The skeg minimizes this turning. The use of the fin is especially recommended in shallow calm waters. With sufficient water depth, the skeg can also increase the stability of the packraft in white water. Our skeg has been streamlined for our packrafts.
Some of our packrafts include a skeg in the package. When self-assembly of a skeg, the mounting must be ordered.
